How much would it cost to go to the Killing Fields by Tuktuk or by car? Which one is the better one to take?
I suppose if I hire a Tuk Tuk or a car to the Killing Fields, I can ask the driver take to drop me off to the S21. Or should I see the S21 first then proceed to the Killing Fields.
Lastly, is the Russian Market open in the evening? If so, what time does it close? Are there places in the market for dining? Any recommendations?
Thank you for your comments as I certainly need them to plan my stay in P, Penh.

You can rent a tuk-tuk for a whole day for app $20.00 , will pick you up at your residence if you arrange the day before . you can ask him to take you anywhere reasonable . Can give you an e-mail if you request it , good and dependable .
Arousey Market (like most) , closes at 5 p.m. There are good food stalls around the market

Go to the killing fields first and then S21. You can do this in half a day if you start in the morning by 8:30 or 9:00 and then you can hit the market in the afternoon. I did a tuk tuk and am glad I did even tho it%26#39;s a bit more dusty you really get a sense of the landscape. When you get to your hotel in PP, tell them you want a tuk tuk the next day and they can book someone for you. The post before is right in that I paid US $20 for the entire day tuk tuk and my driver took me out to the Killing Fields, back to S21, back to my hotel area where I had lunch and then to the market in the afternoon. I ended up at the FCC which was a great spot to chat with expats for a cocktail and dinner. If you want a treat, head over to Raffles for a cocktail post dinner.
I hired a tuk tuk driver to take me to the Killing Fields early in the morning, followed by Tuol Sleng and after, the Russian market which is nearby. I think I paid $7 for 4 or 5 hours. I hope you folks are all trying to negotiate as some of the drivers tend to ask outrageous prices at first...
You are quite correct about negotiating with the drivers about fares , because some do push the limit , however , it is a busy place here at this time so not so easy to find a good man , many are pre booked . I made the suggestion a couple of years back that they form an assocciation which would be better for both them and the tourists , it has finaly happened . They wear pale blue jackets with the inscriptions in French ???
I have never booked a driver- just approached guys on the street. All 3 times I have been in Cambodia it was during high season and there is absolutely no problem getting someone to take you anywhere. You%26#39;ll see dozens of guys lying around idly along the riverside, barking for customers while waiting next to their motos or tuk-tuks. Give one of those guys a go- they need the money!
