Are any restaurants running New Years eve special meals? I am bringing a friend to Siem Reap over the new year and we are not really interested in getting drunk on bar street, we would like know if there are any special events on for the New Years eve.

I%26#39;m sure all the ritzy hotels will be having something special going on, but I have not looked into it yet. If you google the hotels, you can probably get info on special events slated for NYs eve, etc. I%26#39;ll be there, too, for a week until 1/4, so let me know what you hear!

Last NYE I went to a fabulous Indian dinner at the FCC. They had a good live band. It was really nice.
Good advice to check the hotels.
I looked into Raffles and they are having a huge gala event with dinner, drinks, dancing, Khmer show, live band, free wines, etc for $250 (+10% tax) per person.
