Siem Reap - Taxis and Tut Tuts

Are there taxis and tut tuts at all of the sites waiting for hire, or do you need to hire one for the day to stay with you ahead of time?

Siem Reap - Taxis and Tut Tuts

Easier to hire a tuk-tuk for the day or the length of your visit. Ours charged $12 a day for 3 days...he was so good and I gave him $60. They can plan a route to avoid the crowds, etc. Tuk-tuk is definitely better than taxi.

We found you get ripped off if you try to pick someone up at the temple.... given a good tuktuk driver will only cost $10 - $15 US for the whole day, you%26#39;re better off doing that. Also, the temples are quite far apart, so it%26#39;s much easier if you had a driver always waiting for you to stop and go whenever you like.

You can pick one up at the airport when you arrive, or arrange through your hotel, or book using some of the links people have recommended on trip advisor.

We booked Soyean through a trip advisor recommendation, and found it to be perfect.

Other options would be to hire a bike if you%26#39;re super keen....

Yes, hire a tuk-tuk for the length of your stay. Your driver will also be able to advise and help you to plan out the itinerary. It is a great way to visit temples in the vicinity of Siem Reap. However, if you do decide to visit Beng Melea which is outside Siem Reap, although some have made it by tutk-tuk, a taxi will be a better option as you can get long stretch of very dusty road.

Would the Tuktuk accomodate 3 people comfortably?

It accomodated 3 of us, quite comfortably.

How about this?

I didn%26#39;t see many tuktuks like that in Cambodia! Wow, four comfy seats for tourists. Most of the ones we saw (and we saw hundreds) didn%26#39;t have the backwards seat.... only a soft cushion for someone to balance on.
