How many people can a TukTuk seat ? There are three of us arriving by bus from PP with one bag each. Do we need one Tuk? Or two Tuks? :)
On temple visits, would one tuktuk accomodate 3 passengers? Without any luggage of course.
Tuktuks
It depends on your size. If you are on the smaller size, three will fit.
We just returned and had a wonderful tuk-tuk driver. His email is kimsoryar@yahoo.com. It was actually his brother. We had him for 4 days. You can also ask him this questions.
Tuktuks
three will fit, but I don%26#39;t know about three with luggage. Those things have been known to tip over. Be safe, take two.
Later when you%26#39;ve ditched your luggage, you can all ride together. Balance yourselves correctly, Don%26#39;t let the tuk-tuk get too heavy on one side.
Really, I%26#39;ve seen my share of tuk-tuk spills. It ain%26#39;t pretty.
Cruiser is right - it will depend on your size and the size of your bags, though I think even 3 jockey sized people and their bags would be more comfortable in two tuk-tuks. I know cambodians (and vietnamese) carry all sorts of amazing things on the backs of their bikes and in tuk tuks. Perhaps we could start a thread for bizarre things seen on the back of motorbikes in asia! :)
Can also provide email for reliable driver - PM me for his email address - I don%26#39;t like posting addresses in an open forum - my friend Suwan does not need his inbox filled up with spam.
On your trips to the temples you could try one tuk tuk and see how you go - most drivers will have a friend or relative who can be hired on the second and subsequent days (and at short notice) if one vehicle proves to be too sweaty on the first day.
have a great trip

There is usualy a place in front of the passenger compartment where luggage can strapped , 3 reasonable passengers will fit comfortable in the seats , i have seen as many as 12 Cambodians in a tuk-tuk , but not in the smaller Vietnamese ones . The %26#39;Comfort%26#39; factor is up to you , so view the seating and make your own decision , but viewing as you drive will be enhanced with only 2 per tuk-tuk ,as will opportunities for photographing scenery along the ride .
Unless you have an incompetant or reckless driver , i see no reason for a tuk-tuk to overturn , in 3 years i have never seen that happen , we have even been outside of the city on some realy rough roads , bumpy ride yes , scary , no , but i cannot disparage some-one elses experiences .
Hey there,
We got 6 of us in a tuk-tuk (and we%26#39;re not skinny or small). As long as you can get your luggage put on the back or outside the seat compartment, you%26#39;ll have plenty of room.
And just ask your driver to take it easy - you do see some tuk-tuk drivers driving fast and maybe carelessly - but we never had any trouble.
Enjoy!
