ATM's and cash

Hello

Only 17 days to go until we arrive in Siem Reap.

On our info from Kuoni today I read that the ATM%26#39;s only take credit cards? Sure this can%26#39;t be right ?

We have used our Nationwide Debit cards to get money in South America and India with no problem.

So,please help me out,do I just get a load of $%26#39;s or shall I just pay for EVERYTHING I can on a credit card ?

No ATMS work the same in Siem Reap as the rest of the world. Can use credit or debit cards!!!! No worries ok!!

you%26#39;ll be fine! mine works absolutely fine, if there is a problem then you can just pop into the bank and get cash out over the counter!

Agree with the above. I used a Cirrus ATM card. The unusual thing is that they dispense US$, and all of the pricing in Cambodia is in US$.

Gday i was in Cambodia last Oct/Nov for 3 weeks travelling around.I have a Abbey debit card and was ok.Make sure its activated security wise before you get there.Its a bit different in India where you just put it in the ATM.But Cambodia needs to be activated.There should be a number to ring on back of card and tell them what dates you,ll be in the country.Have a great time,i enjoyed it some much im going back sometime this year.If you need any tips just send me a note

Will go into Nationwide and ask them about activating the cards for Cambodia.
