Bus in Cambodia

I plan a trip to Cambodia next Feb, will take bus from Saigon to Phnom penh, then go to Siem Reap, head Thailand at last.

One of my friend said the road in Cambodia is terrible,travel by bus is nightmare, he suggests take plane is better option.

Is anyone have traveled by bus recently? how is the things now, any improvement ?

One hears lots of stories like that , the road to SR from Poipet is rough yes , but PP to Sr is a good road with a good comfortable bus trip . Even the trip to Thailand is good because of the new road that has been built and the ferries no longer needed .

No , I said the road from POIPET to SEAM REAP is rough , the road from Phnom Penh to Seam Reap is good , maybe the abreviations caused your confusion , sorry about that .
