Changing Pounds Sterling into Dollars

Hi everyone

We are visiting Siem Reap for 5 nights In January and was wondering if it is better to change pounds into US dollars in the banks there as it may be a better rate or to just get money changed up before we leave the UK.

It has been my experience here in Cambodia when changing currencies , they look up the days buying rate on money converter or similar and that is what you get .

Assuming that you`re not going to be too crippled by the awful exchange rate for the pound just about any where in the world at the moment, dollars are the easiest currency to change or use. There`s not too many people queuing to buy pounds at the moment.
