Cost for Tuk Tuk and Guide

Hi,

Any ideas how much to expect to pay for a Tuk Tuk and guide for a full day in the temples? Will it get cheaper if you hire for three days, or will it be a per day rate?

My sister payed 20 dollars for a car and guide through one of the bigger (fancier) hotels and to me, after reading here, seems very cheap.

Sorry got it wrong. The price of 20 dollars was for the guide alone.

Well anyway got this reply from the guesthouse I´m staying:

Yes, I can arrange a Tour Guide for you.

Tour Guide is $25 for full days.

Transportation with Tuk Tuk to see the Temple is $54 for full 3 days and includes sunset

and sunrise.

Is that an ok price? Or can you get hold of a Tuk Tuk cheaper?

You should be able to get this much cheaper! Alot of accomodations charge more for transport as they take a cut of it, on the street you should be able to get a tuk tuk for 8-12$ a day, with a couple more $ for sunrise

Kind of regret going by myself now...it will be expensive... Or is it easy to get travel company while there?

I%26#39;m sure you will be absolutely fine, there%26#39;s lots of people on their own, and you%26#39;ll probably find someone in your accomodation who is willing to share costs with you

Tuk is $5 per Tuk tuk for go and back.

- Second days by Tuk Tuk is $12 per Tuk tuk can see ( Angkor wat,

angkor Thom,Bayon, Ta Keo, Ta Prom, Sras Srang, Banteay Kdie and Prasat

Kravan).

- Third days by Tuk Tuk is $14 per Tuk Tuk can see (Preah Khan Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup).

- Fourth days by Tuk Tuk is $25 per tuk Tuk can see ( Kbal Spean, Banteay Srey and Banteay Samre, Roluos Group).

Is this a good plan for my 3-day temple tour? Don´t really get it why they charge more for the third and forth day. Could it be because of the distance?

Yes, youre dead right Anna its further, I%26#39;m off to Cambodia next week with the missus and we%26#39;ve been giving some itinerary by some recommended guides on similar stuff and its a longer drive, etc. When r u off??

yes, its because you are going to places outside the ';angkor'; park, and some of those places are quite some drive away

I´m of in the end of March, but first a stop at my sister´s place in Hanoi and also 5 days in Luang Prabang. After Siam Reap back to Hanoi - my third trip to Vietnam - I just love it there!!
