Cost of a Tuktuk ride

If I take the Medong Bus , what would be a reasonable cost range to pay to ride a Tuktuk from the bus station/stop to most hotel sites in Siem Reap and in P. Penh?

Siem Reap bus station is out of town, but dont pay more than two$-two/half$

Phnom Penh depends, if your staying by the lake or in town either walk, five minutes from Mekong ex office to lake, if your staying near Capitol 1$: I live in Bokor on edge of town and never pay more than $ %26amp; half to get home.

Do you mean that you pay no more than a dollar and a half to go home?

Just make sure you get the price agreed before you get in the tuk-tuk , most people who stay here learned to tell them how much you will pay .Best is to walk a short way from the bus stop , many of those hanging around the buses will ask $4.00 from a tourist to go just a few blocks .

We took the bus from PP to SR and a tuk-tuk ride into the center of SR was included. My GUESS is that the tuk-tuk drivers do this for free as a way of getting more full day business. The guy we had asked about it, but we had already booked someone in advance.

If he hadn%26#39;t had the advance booking, I would have hired the guy. He really seemed sincere and honest.

The fellow we had bookd was also excellent, and he charged $12 a day for 3 days (Feb 08).

As the other post stated, negotiate in advance, and $1 usually worked.
