I need a travel agent to book airfares for a flight from Phnom Penh to Krabi via Bangkok. I am aware that I can book Air Asia but would like to enquire about a full service carrier so I do not have to worry about connections and can book luggage through.
Have tried to book on line with Thai airlines with no luck. It would not let me book the Phnom Penh to Bangkok part. Same with Bangkok airways site.
Then phoned Thai airlines in Australia and they were helpful and said price wise I am better off booking through an agent in Cambodia. The indicitive price they gave (which they were embarrassed about) was $630.00. That is a one way price.
Any suggestions on a reliable agent I could use in Cambodia and a likely price?
Many Thanks

Recommendation for a travel agent to book airfaresBANGKOK AIR flies into Cambodia from Bangkok (BKK) not Thai Airways. Checkout their website to see if they have an office in Oz, they don%26#39;t have an office in the US. We used a Thai owned travel agency (consolidator) that was recommended to us by the Thai Airways ticketing office at LAX (and is also on Thai Air%26#39;s US website). They are called Star Travel %26amp; have a tiny office in Hollywood California. They are in ';Thai Town'; %26amp; are used by Thai %26amp; Khmer families to fly home.
I am sure that Sydney must have a Thai owned travel agency like this... if not, contact BANGKOK AIR. The airline has a monopoly for all flights from BKK to REP, they actually built the Siem Reap airport %26amp; road into the city. They are a very reliable airline, better than Thai Air domestic (we flew both), have cleaner planes, beautiful stewardesses (in Emilio Pucci outfits) %26amp; better food %26amp; their flights are ON TIME.
Due to the monopoly, the fare from BKK to REP last spring was $630pp R/T... I can%26#39;t comment on Phnom Penh flight prices. I do know there%26#39;s a way to fly from Phuket to KL to PP too. Start with BANGKOK AIR%26#39;s website, they are a totally different airline than Thai Air.
Just to clarify; Bangkok Airways has the monopoly from BKK to Siem Reap, but many other carriers fly from BKK to Phnom Penh and they are much cheaper.
A great TA in Bangkok is Legends of Siam

Thanks for the info and names of the travel agents. I will contcat them for pricing of the air tickets.
Is Bangkok Air owned by Thai Airlines? If so do they both fly between Phnom Penh and Bangkok seperately?
My other alternative is to fly Air Asia but would not be able to travel between Phnom Penh and Krabi the same day. The flights on Air Asia are approx $70 each sector
We arrived back last night after 3 weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam. We used Mr Ann at Global Travel to book all of our arrangements-flights, hotels, guides etc. He was wonderful to deal with. Prompt with responses and honest with price. When my daughter needed a flight from Shanghai to Cambodia. he told me he could do it but that we would get a better price going directly through Shanghai airlines. I would highly recommend him. In the weeks before we left we spoke regularly through skype and he also takes credit cards for payment which was important for us.
