How you travel to LP depend on how long you%26#39;ve got to get there. It is a considerable distance %26amp; would involve seceral days of travel overland.

We flew there with Lao Airlines. The view from the plane of the scenery is amazing.

Thanks for the advice - too much to see and too little time! Am now thinking that we should stick to one country - maybe visit Sihanoukville and boat from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.

Does anyone know anything about the Pursat area - whether you can get off the boat there and see marble carving?

We are going to Sie Reap and wanted to go directly to Luang Prabang but have not been able to get any info about it. I even e-mailed a travel agent in Bangkok, They said we had to go back to Bangkok , then to Luang prebang. Is there daily flight from Siem Reap to Luang Prebang and how much is it?
