taxi from nom phen

First of all just a spelling lesson: it is Phnom Penh. Many ppl happened to pronounce it as Nom Penh but the correct pronunciation is Phnom Penh. You need to pronounce the Ph sound for Phnom. But yea I know it is not about pronunciation lesson but just in case local people might not be able to understand what you mean.

The price for taxi from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville ranges from 5$ to 10$ each, and if you want to rent the whole taxi only for yourself multiple the price by 7 (should be negotiable tho). But since you want the taxi to pick u up at the airport, you probably need to rent the whole taxi or they wont just easily agree to pick u up at the airport.

If you wanna go to Sihanoukville, how to get there from Phnom Penh Airport might be problematic. If you want to rent a taxi to Sihanoukville you probably need to take town taxi to the taxi terminals first. Taxi terminal to Sihanoukville is near Central Market.

If you somehow can catch up with the buses, i would recommend buses, since it is more spacious and more comfortable and maybe more SAFE but slower. Usually buses leave Phnom Penh for Sihanoukville twice a day and vice versa. I am not sure but it should be around 7:30am and 12pm. (Mekong Express company is the best 12$ each)

If you really want to rush from Phnom Penh right from the Airport to Sihanoukvill, it might be very hectic for you. You need to organize it properly. And apparently there is no company offering package tour to Sihanoukville whose service is available on internet.

What i would do is, 1- If you are not likely to catch up with the bus at 12pm, find a taxi in advance and talk to them about the price and time to pick you up at the airport. And that case works only if you can rent the whole taxi, i guess. 2- If you can catch up with the bus at 12pm, I recommend you take the bus. I guess this might be the case for you if your flight arrival is in the morning. Then you can take taxi to the bus terminals.

Well you can try at least, if you somehow cant make it, then you might have to stay overnight in Phnom Penh and head to Sihanoukville the next morning.

Hello , nom penh is fine , that is how the locals pronounce it .Last time i asked the taxi fare at the aiport i was told $60,00 , you can go into Phnom Penh for $5.00 by tuk-tuk and catch a bus to Sihanook-ville for $4.00 , it takes 4 1/2 hours with a stop half way , they leave 4 times a day .
