Fastest way (30mins): Siem Reap Airways(Bangkok Airways subsidy), you can book online, $100 each for one way. Google it.

Saftest and cheapest way : Bus ($12) (quite boring for me), I recommend Mekong Express Company (very good service), the office is in front of the Pier; many people know that bus company. You might have to buy ticket at least a day in advance to secure the availability. It takes 5 hours from PP to SR.

Funnest and safe way: Express Boat/ Cruising. Alot of companies operating, check for the most expensive one, I forgot the name(but the price should be $40 or sth with a lot of services included like lunch drinks etc..) coz it is the best and the boat is large and secure. Boats also take 5 hours.

To me taxi isnt safe and scary (fast and furious, lamo). :( But if you insist on taking it, what the local ppl pay is $6-$10 each. But that, you have to crush in a small cap ( standard: 8-9ppl in a small cap. lmao ..I know! it is ridiculous) but you can rent the whole taxi or just buy 2-3 seats for only you and your friends. Taxi take 3-4hours I guess.

The taxi i mentioned is a private car driven by a conciencious person , not the typical hellon wheels Cambodian %26#39;Pickup%26#39; where it is nothing to see over 30 people and god knows what else on board .I have known transportation people of various types for over 3 years and would NEVER recomend anyone that i would even faintly feel was of dubious character or manner . For future reference , this applies to any and all recommendations i make , i even take the trouble to personaly vet out inquiries BEFORE i commit tavellers to a possible bad experience .I help people because i enjoy doing so , not because i have to or that i am biased .

Well Odball, if you refered to me, well you are not wrong. If you think you know the driver that well, then it is good. But in general, cambodian taxis are pretty crazy since they need to rush to catch other costomers. It is just scary to me, but it is actually quite safe since most of the drivers are conscious. And the rate of taxi accident is very low.
