I was looking at prices on VN airlines: Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap (311 per person) 620 for 2.
Does this sound steep for a 1 hr flight?
Where else should I be looking for an affordable flight.
Arrive from Vietnam

Arrive from Vietnam
Ok thanks.
I guess I was expecting Cambodia to be a nice side excursion from my main trip to VN. Unfortunately a 2 day trip is looking like 1000 US. I am reconsidering the importance of this journey to angkor wat.
We also found it quite expensive to travel from Bangkok to Siem Reap as Bangkok Air was the only option but we are really glad we choose to go. Siem Reap and Angkor Wat were the highlight of our 5 week visit to Asia. You might have a look at getting there from other cities. We flew from Siem Reap to Singapore with a stop in Da Nang with Silk Air - you might be able to get information about them from Singapore Air, their parent company. Don%26#39;t know if that could fit in with your travel plans. Good luck with your research - Angkor Wat is definitely worth it!
Go to the Sinh Cafe in District 1, they will have an Open Tour Bus to Siem Reap. From memory you will be looking at about $50 US return. It will only take about 6 hrs drive, by the time you get there by plane clear customs, find a hotel etc, it%26#39;s about the same amount of time because your hotel will be pre booked.
Check sinhcafe.com.vn.
Cheers
John.
