Changing currency.

I am visiting both Thailand and Cambodia in a few days time. I know that it is always slightly more advantageous to take UK Pound to Thailand and change there for Thai Bahts (better exchange rates than if changing money here in UK). Does anyone know if this will be the same for changing UK Pound to US Dollar in Cambodia?

I have three options and am hoping for advice on the best one to go with:

1) To change UK Pound to US Dollar here in the UK?

2) To change UK Pound to US Dollar in Thailand (if this is possible?)

3) To change UK Pound to US Dollar once in Cambodia?

Advice would be appreciated, bearing in mind the weak pound here in the UK at the moment.

We have found that it is always better to exchange money in country ie change UK to Baht when in Thailand.

Not too sure about changing the Pound in Cambodia though.

Many money exchanges in Cambodia give you the daily going rate , ask for some small bills for local shopping , make sure they are all in good condition , locals will not accept torn or damaged money .
