locks????

What are you going to lock up? Do realize that locks are simply a minor deterrent for people who really intend on ripping you off. Do not ever leave money or valuables in a bag. People will find a way to get into it if they really want to.

locks????

As Maneki says , locks just slow thieves down a little , leave valuables in the hotel safe and do not carry too much cash around or flash it .

thank you for your help! Was really just wondering for the purpose of the airport, do u think leaving things in your hotel room is ok? Will prob just take a lil day bag out with me with important stuff like passport ect...thanks again :)

Again, a lock is only a minor deterrent, even with airport staff. Keep all valuables on your person. I always lock my bags, but I would never think they%26#39;d be 100% secure even with the locks.

Topic of much debate--Do they deter or attract? People are passionate about their preference and will defend it to the death. But locks do keep the zippers closed! And they make you feel better. (I use twist ties myself).

You want to use ATA approved locks. Some security personnel will cut non-ATA locks off or you%26#39;ll be asked to remove them on check-in.

Hi Arlia,

leave your passport in the safety deposit box/room safe and take a photocopy if you need ID to cash travellers cheques.
