Tuk Tuk Driver recommendation

We recently spent 3 days in Seam Reap.

We used Savuth (who we believe is the best Tuk-tuk driver in town).

Savuth spoke excellent English, was extremely helpful in planning our itinerary, which as well as many temples included a trip %26amp; boat excursion on Tonle Sap. Savuth organised this trip at a fraction of the cost of the big tour companies.

Savuth can be booked through his web- site.

He will meet you at the airport %26amp; look after you for your stay in Seam Reap.

A great family man %26amp; thorough gentleman

Hi Jack...

I have seen recomendations for this tuk-tuk driver before and was thinking of making contact. We are heading to vietnam/cambodia at the end of march. How much notice do you think he would need? Thanks.

H Tracey,

Like you I am from sunny Newcastle.

The more notice that you can give the better as Savuth is in constant demand - you won%26#39;t be disappointed %26amp; picking him up from the airport on day 1 is a real ';get to know you'; opportunity %26amp; a chance to plan the rest of your stay.

WE stayed at the City River Hotel which was pretty reasonable %26amp; convenient %26amp; bookable on :

Also Bangkok air has a discovery pass, which is good value if you are planning 3 or more flights.

If you want any more info you can contact me on: jflovell@optusnet.com.au

I have also used Savuth both in 2007 for five days and in 2008 for 9 days. I had a great experience with him and had the opportunity and pleasure to spend a lot of time with him and his family on our 2008 trip. I was so moved by his work as tuk tuk driver, his dedication and desire to build a better future for his family and his honest friendship, that I decided to give back what I could and put together the website that jack from New Castle referenced in his post. So I may be a little biased but I think rightfully so.
