Visa for Vietnam

We are visiting Seam reap and wish to go to Vietnam the tour operator we booked with has quoted us a price of 拢63 British pounds to get us a visa into Vietnam. This price seems very high.

Is it possible to get a visa in Seam Reap in the two days we are there for Vietnam? Also is it a lot cheaper? I worry about the offices being closed as I think we arrive on a Sunday so it will only be the Monday.

Is it straightforward and easy to find?

Thank you

Vicki

Visa for Vietnam

I don%26#39;t know about getting the visa in Cambodia, but in the US we had to apply for visas with the Vietnam embassy, and they cost about $80US each. This is not out of line with the quote you got.

There has been contraversy on obtaining a vietnamese visa , I obtained one at a land border no problem , I was told this was impossible (?) A poster was given one at airport on arrival , others say you need a visa or you will not be allowed on the plane . The Vietnamese Embassy is in Phnom Penh , you will not get a visa in one day , I suggest you play it safe and get your visa at an Embassy in your home country .

How many days will it take to get a Vietnamese Visa in PP? Do you have to leave your passport with them for that time?

we had to send out passport to the Vietnamese embassy in Canberra and it was away for about 5 days (came back registered post), the visa cost $75 (Aussie $)

I wouldn%26#39;t rist trying to get one at the border or airport
