help need adviced on Phnom Penh

A party of 6 are traveling to Thailand and Cambodia. We are considering adding Phenom Penh to our tour. BUT.. it has added expense over our budget a bit and a day or two of over our orig time of travel. I realize it is a grand city in its own right but should we bite the bullet and make the effort to extend our tour. Please offer any suggestions

Answers to your question would vary on which direction you intend to travel , how you will travel and where you intend to go in Cambodia . Should you start in Thailand and need to go back there for your flight home via say SiemReap , 1 day would be taken up to and from Phnom Penh , unless you fly(high cost) .A few more details needed .

we are hoping to start in Phuket, then go to Bangkok and north to Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai, then travel to Siem Reap. If we include Phenom Penh we are considering flying home from there. Phenom Penh has been an afterthougt. Not sure if it is beneficial to add this onto our tour. If we donot include this city we will fly home from Siem Reap

Phnom Penh def worth a few days look, if you dont plan on coming back, then I day go for it. Great city and I%26#39;ll be heading back myself sometime this year and spend a week there.

I will assume that you are already planning to visit Siem Reap from Thailand and your deciding whether to then go on to Phnom Penh.

Certainly it would be a shame to miss out on visiting the capital, the killing fields, S21 prison etc. In my opinion. there is so much history (and sadness) that PP should be included into any visit to Cambodia.

We have some pics and stories here... www.bobandjanette.com that may help you make up your mind.

Happy %26amp; safe travels
