good guestshouse

We had booked the Sunday guest house for a 2 night stay in early January but after reading bad reports we have canceled. We realise it was cheap but by what we have read it sounds like we could get better for a similar price or a little more. Can any one recommend?

A good clean guest-house above an internet cafe with a balcony overlooking the Tomle-Sap (river-side), $35.00 per night and as close as you are likely to get for things to do and see plus where many tourists hang out for food etc .

I did a personal check of this guest-house for another poster .

There are goog, clean, safe guest houses from $6.00 up , in various areas , okay for short overnight stays , but for a longer stay you will have to be over the $10.00 if you want comfort and a good location .

Sorry guys..I%26#39;m doing my research for my trip in May %26#39;09..but out of curiosity, when you say either $10 or $30, etc per night...you mean for the room? Or is it per person per night? There will be 2 of us. Also, do these guesthouses/hotels usually have 1 bathroom per room? per pair of rooms? or per floor?

Sorry for my ignorance

They charge per single room (one person, one bed) per twin room (two people, two beds) or per double room (two people, one large bed).If you%26#39;re paying under $10, you will probably have to share a bathroom (i.e. it%26#39;s out in the hall). The ';ensuite'; rooms have shower and toilet in the room. Confirm this when you make reservations, or if you are looking for places when you arrive, ask to see the room first.
