Is it better to take a bus to Siem Reap from Sihanoukville or back-track to Phonm Penh and take a flight? Any advice is helpful! Thanks!
Sihanoukville to Siem ReapWe back-tracked by bus and the spent the afternoon and night in PP before cathing the morning bus the next day.
A flight will be more expensive, take almost the same time with waiting times before your flight etc and you will miss out on all the scenery along the way which we thought was quite pleasant.

Sihanoukville to Siem ReapYou can catch an early morning Capitol bus in Sihanook-ville to Phnom Penh , then the Mekong Express to Seam Reap , both trips about 4 1/2 hours .
I would take the jet boat every time. we payed $20 each each way for a seat inside but spent the 5 hours sat on the roof what a ride. Please read about it before you make up you mind.It is a trip of a lifetime.
ps the jet boat is a daily trip leaving Siem Reap and Phonm Penh at 7am I think and pass half way.
