siem reap-phnom penh - Sihanoukville- Battambang- sime reap

I have about a week to do the above itinery, any suggestions about what I use for transport, and timings, would like to try all forms of transport if possible. Any tips welcome, this is my first visit.

I think that your itinerary is far too ambitious for a one-week trip: you%26#39;ll have around a day at each place, and spend a LOT of time in buses/taxis/airports/airplanes.

I suggest you try to hit only two destinations - say Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, or Siem Reap and Sihanouville (though that will require that you pass through Phnom Penh).

Be careful of planning too much to do with bus travel they are not all lovely care free bus rides!!!!! eg. the battambang to seim reap run is 6 hrs and super bumpy road as its being upgraded

I have to say after my time here Id advise you to fly between PP and seam reap ( to maximise the most out of your time in PP and SR) as they are two you must see . If you fly between the two you could possibly sneak in a bus trip down to sikan. Beach from PP and stay overnight - leave early from PP

PP to SR is about 5-6 hours by road- get best bus you can if thats how you decide to travel. Mekong express is a good company

Thanks for your advice, have decided to fly from SR to PP, then over land to Sihanoukville for a couple of days before flying back to Bangkok from PP. Forgot to mention that I would have already spent 3 days in SR so would probably have got a river boat ride in.
