My husband and I will probably be going there in January for a couple of weeks. Does anyone know anything about this town? Can you recommend a decent place to stay? Any info will be a great help. I cannot find anything on Trip Advisor or google. Thanks so much.
Lodging in town of K';ng Cham
Hotels in Kg Cham aren%26#39;t great - it%26#39;s pretty close to Phnom Penh, so few people stay there overnight and thus there%26#39;s relatively little demand or competition to drive up the quality.
Overall, there are a few places that (depending on your own standards) are somewhere between barely tolerable and decent -- the hotels won%26#39;t be the cleanest, nor have the best beds or service but should be fine. But Kg Cham hotels are generally not as nice as what you can find in other major provincial towns (e.g., Battambang, Kg Thom, Pursat, Kampot, etc.).
I%26#39;ve stayed at two places in the last few years -- I think the names were Mekong Hotel and Phnom Pros Phnom Srey Hotel. The former has a slightly nicer location and the latter a better restaurant; otherwise they%26#39;re pretty similar.
Probably the best thing to do is check them both out when you get into town.
