Day Inn or Steung Siem Reap Hotel????

I am planning a few days in Siem Reap in March 2009,

and was going to book into the Day Inn, we were there in June this year and were quite happy.

But the price has gone up, and while looking for an alternative, I found there are good reviews for the Steung.

I will be with my 29 year old daughter and the option of walking to Pub street etc is appealing!!

Wat do you think??

Dayy In have a ';stay for 4, pay for 3 deal'; Not sure if you say that on their website.

We were happy with Day Inn also but appreciate your thoughts on moving closer to Pub St.

Thanks Bob and Jannette, yes the Day inn is good , just want to know if anyone has seen both and how they compare?

Steung Siem Reap is excellent.

We got back a week ago and had stayed there 3 nights.

Very comfortable.

Big rooms.

We did however have twin beds???????

I would say these two hotels are basically interchangeable.

I used to take a leisurely walk to Pub Street from the Day Inn and maybe take a couple of stops on the way, its only 20 minutes or so, you can easily get a tuk tuk to go back if your not so steady on your feet after a night out and it should only be a couple of dollars.

I shall stay at Day Inn again and really shop around for the best price.

Thank%26#39;s for your replies. As it turned out The Day Inn is booked out for our dates so we have booked into the Steung, I even had trouble getting in there but managed to get a booking after lots of tries on different sights.

We loved the Day Inn but it%26#39;s good to try somewhere else.
